The new app 4.9 does not work. Gets stuck in setup.

Ever since it updated 2 months sho, I have had Bluetooth connection issues. The connection comes and goes. Sometimes it is only connected to one ear, sometimes none at all. It is very frustrating. I did but have these issues before the update. I wish I could get htt egg lonforvthus problem.

Hi. After I reset it. I just want to smooth with you, but the Beltone HearPlus app went disconnected twice, whenever I’m on and off with the music and the GPS. So I deleted twice and re-app with connection again. Why is that? Thank you for your time. Have a blessings weekend.

I don’t know what’s a bigger piece of crap, the hearing aids or the app. Tried to sync my phone while I was 5 miles away from home and had been synced to my tablet. Hearing aids are four years old with a three year warranty, they started acting up about 3 months out of warranty.

I can’t even use this app. What’s going on???

PLEASE improve the bluetooth connectivity. The lag time needs improvement and the bluetooth connectivity and stability as well.

I have been using this ap for years, & has no issues,, UNTIL lately. It disconnects from my aides,, steadily has to delete and RE-install. Get it together developers. And it has never ever alerted me of a text message. Make THAT happen. And I’ll be HAPPY Developers (11/08/19) I am HAPPY HAPPIEST Ever! I received my 1st text message thru my aides. Keep up the Great work UPDATE: It didn’t happen,,, no text alert.:( Update 11/21/19 I have noticed that “yes”,,, thru HearPlus you CAN get text message notifications thru the my hearing aids,,,, BUT,,, ONLY when the iPhone is not silenced, I work so phone has to be silenced,,, so it would be more beneficial if text messages would work thru my hearing aids then,,,, Go getem developers?, make it happen,, I know that you can!!!! Update—01/06/20-1st—I did finally hear a message alert,,, but it can’t be in silenced mode,,, it can only be turned down low,,, in order to receive the text alert. Now a note to the developers @@@@@ Please get rid of the questionnaires,,,, they disconnect the aids,,,,and we hearing impaired,,, don’t even know that we have been UNPLUGGED. For older impaired people please please rid the questions,,, that force us to answer before being reconnected. DEVELOPERS I appreciate you,,, in handling that questionnaire issue,,, keep up the great work. No issues now with my aides. 02/15/2020 Unaware of the aides being disconnected. What is going on??? When I exit the app, the hearing aid disconnects. So whatever I’m listening to gets cut off. Making this app useless, can’t use the phone, listen to music or watch movies/tv shows.

I have an Apple XR. VERY FREQUENTLY I have to delete the app and re-download it again to get it to connect to my hearing aides. . This still occurs with brand new batteries. When the app works, it is wonderful, but when it doesn’t, it is worthless!!!!

New batteries ect. So frustrating. Can’t hear my phone calls coming in nothing!

Since upgrading to IOS 13 with an IPhone 7S Plus the App will not show that is connected. I can not control the hearing aids thru the App but can thru the IOS 13 hearing aid controls. iOS shows my presets and can change the preset. If I delete the Hear Plus App and reinstall the Hear Plus App will function but by the end of the day it quits functioning. Is there an update coming soon to address this bug?

Have to delete the app and reinstall to get it to connect.

Since the last Apple update, I have constant issues. Per the local office, I have done what they have suggested: forget this device, delete the app, reinstall it, and re pair my aids every single time I turn off (such as overnight). Why can’t this be fixed as it’s very frustrating.

This app is junk just like the Beltone brand hearing aids are junk. Very unhappy

Latest update is terrible. Have an I-phone and when I sync to my phone and hearing aids it will not let me choose one of my programs. It is stuck on an IPhone setting. If I want one of my programs I cannot be connected to my phone. Anyone else having this issue? Any luck fixing it?

A minimally useful program now it will not connect to my hearing aids. Someone should do testing prior to the release of a new release.

Edit on 10/1/19: Another update has come out (13.1.1) but there are still Bluetooth connectivity issues caused by these two recent updates. Please resolve ASAP. Edit on 9/24/19: The problem below was completely resolved after about 3 months but the latest update for my I-Phone (iOS 13.0) has caused the Bluetooth to be unreliable again. Please address this soon. The Bluetooth connection to my hearing aids with this app used to be pretty reliable until this latest update. I actually have to ask my devices to forget my hearing device and then pair again just to connect them which is really annoying. Once paired the connection is not as solid as it used to be. Hope this will be fixed soon! Otherwise, this app has been great.

So...since the new ios update, I’ve not been able to use this app. I’m assuming the app is being updated/fixed along with the new ios software update?

Like other reviews my app did not function at all after the app update (I have iPhone 6 so I’m not on iOS 13). I deleted then reinstalled the app and it’s working. I did have to add my favorite setting back in.

After updating, the app can’t start.

Only problem I’ve had with the app is the volume would change entering and exiting other apps like games for instance. Never resolved that one. I want it to change only when I manually change it. Sooo I get the latest update and immediately the app won’t open at all past the Beltone logo. I wish I could remove the latest update. Guys the app needs some work

Just updated my iphone X to IOS 13, now this app will not work. I tried deleting and reinstalling, nada! Tried updating my iphone in recovery mode (Apple’s suggestion) Nada!! This is simply ridiculous!! Come on GN/ Beltone do something!!

When I use a map app for turn-by-turn directions, the delay in the Bluetooth connection from my iPhone XSMax to my excellent iPhone Beltone heating aids means that the first few words are always cut off. This is not only annoying, it can be very dangerous in traffic or approaching a complex intersection. I understand the principles of Bluetooth and know that physics is physics, but I wish the apps could be coordinated so that the map app would not start “speaking” until the connection was complete, at least for Apple and Google map apps. Please.

The latest update with tons of new stuff broke the app. My phone is still connected to the hearing aids L &R but they are no longer connected to the app and will not connect no matter how many times I go thru the rebooting. THANKS A LOT. How do I revert to the old version?

Takes too long for bluetooth to connect to hearing aid. Calling or answering call. Seems to have effected sound quality also

When I receive a call, the hearing aids take up to 10 seconds to connect. This is not only inconvenient, but many of my customers actually hang up thinking I am not answering. Something needs to be done. Either keep the hearing aids connected whenever the app is in use, or make sure it connects in 2 seconds or less. If this is not resolved, I will have to discontinue use of the app completely.

Nothing but problems with incoming calls. I constantly have to say wait to people calling me. I also can’t get my hearing aids to stop clicking every time I use my Waze app. I now shut off the Bluetooth feature when driving. Same clicking and delay with the calls I receive. VERIZON says it’s the app, BELTONE says its the phone. Be nice if the 2 companies just talked and fixed the freaking problem ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

Having continuous problems since update last Friday. FIX IT

I do not like it at all. I want to be able to adjust each individual hearing as needed, as one is louder than the other. We should have a choice if we want a new version or not.

Just got the update thru daily updates and it won’t even open up on my iPhone XS.

This app is difficult to use and not effective. Demo mode never changes to function and have to do a work around. I wish app designers had to use hearings aides and the need for ease. They do not think about the user. Stop making stupid changes because you affect the lives of people. The app was fine before and easy to use. I wish I still had my analog hearing aides back again. I give this new app below one star. Simply ridiculous.

The connection between my Beltone hearing aid and Beltone app keeps failing. As a result, I could not listen to music or GPS navigation through my iPhone. Very disappointed!!

Won’t give status; can’t listen to music or podcasts since getting new app. Have to delete completely. TOTAL JUNK!

Just changed to 8+, having problems with connections some time it takes 10 seconds to connect. Sometimes one ear than other. Not sure what it is worked okay on 6S+. ????

Every time they upgrade the app you lose all your favorites. Once you save a favorite there is no way to modify it except create a new one and erase the old one. App is not user friendly to make adjustment and at times loses connections with the hearing aids.

Glad this app updated for all iPhone. So, I can enjoy to listen music and chat with friends and family on my new iPhone X. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Every update or I phone I have used the calls sometimes go through my phone or through my Bluetooth heating aids and most cases there is a 7 second delay or my call to connect to them drives me nuts and people think I am not there and disconnect would love to blame my phone for the issue but this happen on my iPhone 6s Plus joe my iPhone X I have tried both phones with just this app installed nothing else so it’s the app. Hope they dix this soon. Also if you don’t have the phone in your hand or close even if your on the ear peace’s speaking to them the sound is very poor for the person to hear us definitely needs more work for the amount we pay for these not impressed at all

This app works well when it works! Unfortunately, I have to delete and re-add it every month or so because it stops working.

Bluetooth worked quite nicely with my IPhone 6 but with the IPhone 8 its absolutely useless. The pairing drops in and out randomly to the point of making use of Bluetooth almost unusable. See other reviews for more of the same. Beltone, are you even reading these posts? The software for a hearing aid that costs thousands of $ should be updated as needed so I ask you, what is being done to address this? It’s our hearing we’re talking for Gds sake and being a “medical device” would think you’d feel an obligation to keep your software functioning properly. Never been so frustrated ... 1/17/2018 Update: You insult my intelligence. Your reply says NOTHING to explain what is being done to address this issue. You have clearly NOT worked to update the app or we wouldn’t still be experiencing this issue. Your version history states the last update was 1 year ago yet it clearly did not address this blue tooth connectivity problem that so many people are currently having. Please try being responsive and demonstrate that you actually give a rats a__ about the people who spent thousands for these devices. Your lame generic explantation says absolutely nothing meaningful. MY QUESTIONS ARE: WHAT SPECIFICALLY ARE YOU DOING TO MITIGATE THIS SERIOUS ISSUE THAT EFFECTS BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY??? When I got this app months ago, I’ve had no complaints. I love it and would not give it up. Now when my phone rings, it comes through my devices and I don’t have to put it on speaker and everyone’s head my conversation. I have a iPhone 7.

I moved from Android to Apple because I heard that I could get more out of the app (calls and music via aids). I now have an iPhone 7, which still cannot use the features made specifically for iPhones. Zero stars if I could.

I also upgraded from a iPhone 6 using my First17’s never a problem. And now with my new IPhone 8 its all over the place intermittent clicks in and out of Bluetooth. Hesitates. Just can’t use.

I have a pair of Beltone Firsts and just got the iPhone 8. The app or phone won’t pair with the hearing aids. It goes into a pairing loop where it drops the connection every 5 seconds and then tries to re-pair. Very Annoying. Before I upgraded to the iPhone 8, the app worked great on iPhone 6. Beltone please fix!!!

Although iOS 10.0.2 broke the pairing between my Beltone Firsts and iPhone, I simply went into Beltone today and had my hearing aids updated with the latest Beltone firmware and the pairing has worked successfully since. This would be recommendation to others with similar issues.

This application worked perfectly until the last IOS update in my iPhone 5s. Now I can't receive incoming calls in my hearing aids anymore. Please fix this soon!

This was a great app. Worked seamlessly until the upgrade to 10.02. It asks to pair w/iPhone 5s. For some reason, the two don't recognize each other anymore.

I installed HearPlus on my Apple Watch and iPhone5 and have had solid performance from both. This is a very convenient app and works as advertised. Beltone and Apple have done a very impressive job with this software.
